3DS Launches in the USA
The time finally came for Nintendo’s biggest market. USA and America both North and South saw the release of Nintendo’s latest portable gaming console the 3DS.
Isaiah-Triforce Johnson can be named as the first owner of a 3DS as he queued for a week before the main release venue of Best by in Union Square. He was handed the new console by Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime, to which he commented, “Now I’m playing with power … the power of 3D!”.
It can be said that Isaiah-Triforce Johnson had in fact also been the first in line for the Wii back in 2006. The waiting line was far lower than it had been for Wii’s launch but then again the temperature harsh for anyone attempting to wait it out especially when Nintendo promised no shortage in supply.
