3DS System Update Available April 25th In All Regions
A system update for the Nintendo 3DS has been announced for Europe, Japan and North America today, and will be available this Wednesday 25th April. The 3DS system update will bring Home Menu folders, which will enable users to sort out their icons in the Home Menu. This will come as a relief to us who have a cluttered interface from the Ambassador games, which can now be cleaned up and sorted into folders.
It will also be possible to download patches, with Mario Kart 7 being the first title to receive a patch that will fix unfair shortcuts in online play. The Mario Kart 7 update will be available in the middle of May.

Good news to hear. My menu was getting pretty full!
