I’ll be posting my reactions live to each announcement as they happen from Nintendo E3 Press Conference, and it would be great to hear your thoughts too as Nintendo reveal the truth behind the rumours of ‘Project Cafe’, including details on that rumored game list and the controller.

What does everyone think about the new console then? Don’t want to write disappointed… but… Where was the new HD Mario? Zelda? No Smash Bros either. Nothing about the spec’s of the machine really. New controller and the way it links with the console has great potential for me, but I’m not convinced with the whole concept just yet… Let the conversation begin… bye all!

    • Yeah, it don’t feel like we got the whole treatment. A lot is still missing. But I guess they want to keep us guessing a bit more. From what I’ve seen however it was a great show with some awesome developments. Just wondering what else we’ll know come the end of E3.

    • Zelda? They showed more of the latest Wii title, and they used the franchise for the tech demo of the Wii U. To me, this is like a unofficial promise we’ll get a Zelda title on the new system. We got a whole load of Mario today, even if we didn’t get HD Mario. Nintendo have never been lacking in great 1st party games. Every one of their consoles has solid 1st party Mario and Zelda games. Nintendo has recently been missing out on classics and masterpieces being shared between the PS3 and the 360. Sure, both also have decent exclusives, but some of the best and biggest games simply don’t come to Nintendo. But now they will. After watching that, I know the new console is hellish powerful, will have all my Nintendo magic on it, and will play the best the rest of the industry has to offer. The only real disappointment I have is the lack of a demonstration of the system’s online functionality. This console will win or fail based on how it can keep up with xbox Live. Sony has arguably managed to do it, Nintendo need to keep the pace and not lose the online multiplayers.

Looking forward to seeing what’s available to get hands on with that wasn’t mentioned properly in the press conference. I think we’ll be seeing more of 3DS games like Animal Crossing over the next few days.
