Japan 3DS eShop Launch Line-Up

Next week, on June 7th, marks the launch of the highly anticipated 3DS e-Shop. It has been revealed on Nintendo of Japan‘s website, the details for the Japanese launch of the e-Shop.

Available for the Virtual Console includes Kirby’s Dream Land, Super Mario Land, Mega Man: Dr Wily’s Revenge, Avenging Spirit, Baseball and Downtown Special: It’s Kunio’s Period Piece, Assemble Everyone!! which were all available for the Game Boy. These titles will be available for 400 Yen which roughly converts to £3 and €5. Not too bad, you think?

Excitebike has already been declared as a 3D classic which will be available for free. Another 3D classic available will be Xevious, costing 600 Yen.

3DSWare will see Mystery P.I: The Missing Film, and 3D Block Breaker. Also a trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be available for download.

Nothing has been said about a European launch line-up for the 3DS, but I’m sure Nintendo won’t let us down. Would you like us to get the same launch line-up as Japan?

In other news, it was announced yesterday that a Pokédex 3DS app will be available at e-Shop launch, read here for details!

UPDATE: Nintendo of Europe have announced their details for the 3DS e-Shop launch line up. Like Japan, we will be able to play Super Mario Land, but unlike Japan, we can play Alleyway and Tennis. New content will be available to download from the e-Shop every Thursday. Included in your system update will be the free Internet Browser, allowing you to view specific sites in 3D. Downloading and uploading 3D images will also be possible.

Nintendo of America released their details, similar to Japan and Europe. Where us in Europe get Tennis, America get Radar Mission. Reggie Fils-Aime quoted on the e-Shop “The Nintendo 3DS system is constantly evolving and growing. The Nintendo eShop is a one-stop resource for a broad range of Nintendo information and downloadable games and applications. It expands the Nintendo 3DS experience with new and entertaining content”.

To update your system on the 7th June, simply head into System Settings > Other Settings > System Update. Then enjoy what Nintendo have to offer us!

I remember when 400 yen was about £1.50 which is a nice price for a GB game. £3 is ok but I can see a lot less impulse buying.

If there’s no Shinobi game I’m going home.

Best line up of the lot for me. Super Mario Land will be an instant download on launch and Tennis and Alleyway are also on my wish list. Shame we don’t get Kirby’s Dream Land, but it’s only a matter of time.
