June 30th marks the release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D in Australia, a week after it is released in Japan and Europe. To celebrate what critics acclaim to be the greatest game, being released on the 3DS, Nintendo of Australia are holding a launch party on Wednesday the 29th June.

Fans of the series are invited down to the free event at The Nintendo Experience, EB Games, 67 Swanston St, Melbourne from 10pm – 1am, where there will be food, drinks and music, and also you have the opportunity to get your photo taken in the vast Hyrule landscape.

There will be prizes available on the night to those that attend. Prizes include a signed t-shirt by Eiji Aonuma, producer of the Zelda series, and to win this prize, attendees must come dressed up in a Legend of Zelda themed outfit. Another prize includes a signed copy of Ocarina of Time.

Sounds like a lot of fun! Any of you guys throwing a Zelda launch party that you want to tell Nintendo Scene? The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time hits stores this Friday 17th June.

It seems Australia are not the only place having a Zelda launch party. Nintendo World Store in New York City is also hosting a party to celebrate the occasion. The event will begin at 11 a.m. and will last until 2 p.m. Customers are encouraged to come to the event dressed as their favorite characters from the series, the same as in Australia. There will be some fun Zelda games going on throughout the store, as well as a Gold Skulltula scavenger hunt. Also, goodies are on offer for those that just show up!
