Zelda HD Coming To Wii U

At long last, it has finally been confirmed  by Miyamoto, that a Zelda HD title will become available on the Wii U, and that its currently in development. In a recent interview with Kotaku, Miyamoto said the title would introduce some interesting new gameplay experiences, which will be similar to those showcased at this years E3. Miyamoto said:

This is an HD system, our first HD system, and we want to create a real HD Zelda game for it. You will see a lot of these in-depth and deep experiences in terms of visual style. You will also see some play styles that are fun and interesting because of the play structure.

Also in the interview, Miyamoto discussed the Wii U controller, which will include a built in web browser. He explained:

You have a screen available at any time that you can check. This dedicated second screen, and the way people may use it, not just for gaming, but to do things like browse the Internet, is the Wii U’s single, biggest design accomplishment.

I, for one big Zelda fan, am extremely excited about this. Are you?

  2. This is amazingly exciting news. We have only that short Zelda E3 demo to lick our lips at. Think we’ll have to wait a long time for further news on this.
