Largest #StreetPass #FlashMob Event – Apple Store, Regent Street, London (09.07.11) @ 2pm, Wear Red and Bring your 3DS.

A new type of StreetPass event for London, one that’ll rival others around the world. An event designed to bring as many 3DS users together in one place as possible. This event will be styled as a friendly flash mob event. Enabling 3DS gamers to show their passion for this awesome system and get themselves a crazy amount of StreetPass hits too. Simply bring yourself, your 3DS and wear something RED.
Event information (Current):
- The location will be the Regent Street Apple Store.
The location was not chosen out of any anti apple agenda. It was chosen because it is central, easily accessible and not exposed to the elements. Apple has also been becoming more relevant in the games industry so it’s only fair that we bring Apple and Nintendo together.
- The day is Saturday the 9th of July 2011, at 14:00 till 14:30.
It is important that we converge on the location at 14:00, not before or after.
- The Dress code will be anything RED and as much of it as possible.
We want to see this location covered in RED. This will make it easy for people to StreetPass and also show their involvement.

I’ve pinned the QR code up at Uni. Everyone was scanning it. More people own a 3DS than I thought. We’re always up for this kind of stuff. Feels dirty that we’re actually forcing the StreetPass process.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of ppleoe: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and ppleoe trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Strange choice of location, Apple and Nintendo are direct competitors in the portable gaming market, be highly contradictory for Apple too, as all their staff where’s blue, and suddenly there will be a lot of people in Red…. either way…. i’ll be there!

I thought this was a heufpll article, and I mostly agree with what you wrote. However I actually do have a small uncertainty I’ve had a iPhone almost four years at this point. Plus I’ve a short time ago upgraded to a new iPhone 4. While I adore my iPhone ( most of the time), I totally despise AT&T. I don’t want to have to jailbreak the iPhone to make use of a new service provider, yet if Apple stays in bed with AT&T a lot longer I will have to switch to switching to the Android phone. The question is, do you ever envision Apple has got any sort of plans to free the iPhone up to more providers in the near future? Mainly I’d personally like to get another one that includes great 4G coverage! Many thanks!

There are certainly a lot of delaits like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game.
