Nintendo Video Now On 3DS eShop
Check the 3DS eshop and you can download the Nintendo Video channel now.
Featuring a range of 3D video content which can be downloaded automatically via SpotPass, the channel will check to see if automatic downloads are possible when you first activate it.
The first video content it downloads is episode one of 3D magic, with regular updates promised at a later date. Let’s hope so eh? Nothing to get excited about just yet, but there are four slots on the menu screen, so I hope to see something else there via SpotPass soon.
For more details on Spotpass check out exclusive StreetPass and SpotPass guide.
What do you think of the content so far?

A seven minute cartoon is also available too. “Oscar’s Oasis”

Oscar’s Oasis is pretty good. It’s a seven min animated comedy. If anything, it demonstrates how fantastic Pixar films will look on the 3DS in 3D. I hope more comes of this.

It’s an okay start. Let’s hope the magic stuff improves… that first clip (aside from the use of 3D) wasn’t great. Oscar’s Oasis a big improvement – nice to see some lengthier material 🙂
Maybe I’m dreaming but I’d love Sky Sports to get in on the action and show highlights across a range of sports – I’d even pay for that content. At a 3DS preview event I went to they had a demo station showing Sky Sports… it was incredible and I’ve been wishing for it ever since!

Oh, and also, when I got home, it automatically downloaded (what at least looked like) the “Nintendo Video” application to the home screen – very slick and seamless.
I was puzzled how it managed to do that so quickly, but then I realised in fact, what it had downloaded was a “shortcut” to the application in the eShop. Still a very tidy way of letting you know there’s some more content and it also gives the consumer the option of downloading it as oppose to it being pushed.
All in all, very impressed 🙂
