Assassin’s Creed: Lost Legacy 3D Cancelled
According to an interview with Jostiq, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations lead writer Darby McDevitt has suggested that the announced 3DS addition to the Assassin’s Creed series has been cancelled. Ubisoft announced the game back at E3 2010, with little known information except from the principle idea that Ezio Auditore would be looking back at his assassins roots in the East, in search of the lost castle at Masyaf.
Darby McDevitt explains that the disappearance of Lost Legacy was no accident, as it was dropped in favour of a console release which turned into Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. This does not mean that we may never have an Assassin’s Creed game on the 3DS, but unfortunately Lost Legacy is ironically lost in the unpublished video games history books. It’s a great loss for 3DS owners, as the series could have pulled in more ‘core’ gamers and opened up new ideas to mainstream franchises that may not have considered a 3DS port before.
But all is not lost, think back to this year’s E3 conference… Although Lost Legacy might be a dead, Ubisoft did announce an Assassin’s Creed game heading to the forthcoming Wii U Console. Go on Ubisoft, don’t let us down this time!
Are you as disappointed as I am about this recent ‘Revelation’ (see what I did there??) Are you looking forward to an Assassin’s Creed free-running adventure on the Wii U? Let us know in the comment section down below.

O_O I completely missed this, it didn’t come up in my inbox at all! I’ve only just read it now! D:
Also, I guess you know they’re not doing Revelations for Wii U? I thought it was sad news when they announced that, and a bit of a blow to Nintendo as it won’t be considered as a ‘major’ console. Well, that’s how it looks from my point of view anyway!

Always a shame to see a game being aborted. But hopefully we get something of good salt to see us right instead.
