Ubisoft talks about Assassin’s Creed for Wii U

When Ubisoft announced that they were making an Assassin’s Creed game for the Wii U at this year’s E3 conference, most brushed it off as a port of the upcoming game Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. However, this how now been confirmed by Ubisoft’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, to be untrue.

Although Guillemot was quick to confirm the Wii U game would not be a port of Revelations, it could be a port of an earlier Assassin’s Creed title. TVG has also speculated that it could be a multi-format Assassin’s Creed title still unannounced for 2012. Being a big Assassin’s Creed fan, I am personally holding out for a complete new adventure for the Wii U series début.

After the disappointing cancellation of Assassin’s Creed: Lost Legacy for 3DS, I really hope that Ubisoft pulls out all the stops with the Wii U title. We don’t want Xbox 360 gamers to have all the fun!
