Zelda Flipnote Challenge

More news regarding Zelda’s 25th Anniversary this year, yesterday Nintendo launched a ‘Make Your Own Zelda Flipnote” competition in which DSi and DSiXL owners must come up with Zelda inspired Flipnote creations.

The ‘Make Your Own Zelda Flipnote’ competition is open for entry right now, and closes on the 9th of September 2011. DSi and DSiXL owners are invited to create their own animated Zelda Flipnote, which may celebrate memorable scenes, characters from the series and the various puzzles from the The Legend of Zelda history.

The panel of judges to impress consists of Shigeru Miyamoto, Eiji Aonuma, Takashi Tezuka and Yoshiaki Koizumi. That will take a lot of persuasion! They will be looking for the best original creations, which will then be featured on the Nintendo homepage.

To enter the competition, you must have a DSi or DSiXL along with Flipnote Studio which can be downloaded for free. You must also register with Hatena to submit your entries.

What are you waiting for? Get drawing!

I would try this if I had the system and program needed. My original DS and my DS Lite don’t have the flipnote software and I can’t draw to save my life. Not being able to draw is a flaw to the contest.
