August Site Review

August was a great month for Nintendo Scene. We’ve been doing things left, right and centre! The things that we’ve done… Oh and we also wrote some simply astounding articles for you lovely people!

Many of the staff (and readers!) were honoured to be attending IGN’s 100th Podcast Party recently. Nintendo Scene were allocated some places on the guest list for the exclusive event and many of you lucky readers got the chance to celebrate IGN UK’s 100th podcast with the crew.  Adam’s full report on all the going’s on at the IGN event is here. At the event, many upcoming 3DS games were showcased. The games included, my personal most anticipated title of the year, Mario Kart 7 and the soon to be released Star Fox 64 3D. To find out what games you should be anticipating the most, a full hands-on preview is available here courtesy of Wes. Thank you for inviting Nintendo Scene, IGN! It looks like it was great fun!

Adam also spent some time down at Capcom’s Fight Club event. The event allowed people to get to grips with upcoming titles such as: Street Fighter x Tekken, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and Street Fighter 3 Online Edition. The full report can be found here.

While some of the team were out and about having fun at these events, I was sitting alone in a dark room playing the fabulous Xenoblade. It’s one of the Wii’s stand out games and you owe it to yourself to check it out! If that doesn’t convince you then read my review which is available here.

Another potential stand out Wii game is Skyward Sword. And this month we got plenty of related news. We finally got the release date for the eagerly anticipated title. Get your pre-orders in! Speaking of pre-orders, the pre-order bonus was announced for North America and then confirmed for Europe too! The game is top of many people’s wish list and that limited edition bundle looks tasty. It’s a good time to be a Zelda fan and a good time to be a Nintendo Scene reader!

Until next month, smell ya later!
