Upcoming Capcom Events

Capcom seem to be on a real push on the run up to Christmas and between now and then are involved in three events.  For details see below:

Ultimate Villain – 09 Nov 11 – 19:00 – Villian, 89 Great Eastern Street, London

Combining a night-out with a night-in, Villain is launching its new monthly ‘Ultimate Villain’ night, giving gaming fans the chance to preview the most eagerly anticipated new game releases ahead of everyone else.

Get out of your darkened rooms and ‘get amongst it’ in ours – with a bar made out of an aircraft fuselage and a car emerging from the ceiling, this fantastical venue is perfectly pimped out for gaming.

Villain is the ideal setting for this unique night. With at least 6 screens dedicated to gaming – on games not yet released, multi-player options to compete amongst your peers and great drinks offers, this is a night on a whole new level! Join the Elite!

Villain is here to keep you ahead of your rivals bringing all your favourite fighters combined with 12 new characters in 8 electrifying new stages to East London’s up-and-coming hotspot.

To attend, RSVP to their Facebook event and send an e-mail to joe@bigmachinemedia.com.

Resident Evil Operation Racoon City Hands on Event – 26 Nov 11 – 12:00 to 17:00 – London

Capcom are giving you the chance to play Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City months before it comes out! So grab some friends, form a squad and load up on bullets because there are hordes of zombies and teams of enemies to take down!

We’ll be holding the exclusive hands on event on Saturday the 26th November from 12:00 to 17:00 in London, England. Spaces will be tight because we want everyone who attends to have a good long play session on the game. So if you want to be tearing up zombies and more then you need to PM your full name to me, Fonix, on the forum.

Please note that because Operation Raccoon City is rated 18 this will be an 18 or over event, and please bring some ID to ensure you get in.

See the Capcom Europe Blog for more details.

Capcom vs Namco Xmas Fight Club – 03 Dec 11 – 10:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:00 – Namco Station, Westminster, London

“Fight Club is back! But not as we know it. For one day only, over two action packed sessions, Capcom X Namco are throwing their differences aside to bring to you; the UK fighting game enthusiasts, the biggest most illustrious fighting game event of the year: Christmas Fight Club!

You’re probably asking yourself what makes this event so special? It’s just another Fight Club, right? Another chance for you to show your peers that you’re the best at Street Fighter X Tekken, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, Tekken 6, Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, SoulCalibur V and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike? Well yes it is, we’ve got all that and more but we’ve also got a very…special…guest:

HARADA-SAN! – Producer of the Tekken series

He’ll be there to witness your superiority, your infallible technique and your unerring desire to be the best. We’ll have an eight person, single-elimination tournament running in each session for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Arcade and SoulCalibur V, of which selected matches will be streamed live with prizes for the tournament winners. In addition to this there will be numerous exhibition matches where the UK’s top players will face off in live streaming matches. This is your opportunity to meet the creator of Tekken and witness the cream of the UK fighting game community go head to head!

On top of all that, there will be free bowling, free pool and refreshments, a DJ, break-dancers and all manner of free-play arcade machines just in case you wimp out of the tournament early.

How do you get involved? All you need to do is turn up on the day, entrance is free, and we have room for 300 people in each session (first come first served). Upon entry you’ll be issued with a wristband and asked to leave at the end of the session. You’re welcome to join the back of the queue to gain entry to the second session, but we can’t guarantee we’ll be able to accommodate everyone.”
