PETA Say Relax, Mario Campaign Was Just A Joke! But Was It That Funny?

So it was all a big joke in the end. Ha..Ha.. Not. Earlier this week as you all know, PETA made a ridiculous campaign against Super Mario 3D Land, stating that Mario was sending out a message that it was perfectly fine to skin raccoon dogs and wear their fur.

But now PETA has told Mario fans to “relax”, as it was just a joke, and they even said they were fans of Mario themselves!

Mario fans: Relax! PETA’s game was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, a fun way to call attention to a serious issue, that raccoon dogs are skinned alive for their fur.

We wish real-life tanukis could fly or swat enemies away with their tails and escape from those who profit from their skins. You can help them by never buying real fur.

Our spoof is simply making a serious point: that there is a much darker story behind tanuki skins than Mario lets on.

What do you think?

  1. These guys are messed up in the head. Now they are making a joke out of their own issue. PETA should be disbanded they clearly aren’t being run well or representing their cause. Shame.
