Nintendo Direct: News, Release Dates and Trailers

At 78 minutes long and concluding at just after 4am GMT / 11pm EST today, Nintendo Direct was used to feature substantial third party releases. Despite falling short of the excitement created for Nintendo’s first Nintendo Direct broadcast back in September, it does give us the important footing on where the company stands and what’s to be expected in the coming Months. Below are the Japanese release dates for a whole swath of 3DS games some of which will have new trailers in the Japanese eShop.

  • Ghost Camera 12.01.12
  • Ace Combat 3D 12.01.12
  • Rhythm Thief R 19.01.12
  • Beyond the Labyrinth 19.01.12
  • Resident Evil Revelations 26.01.12
  • New Love Plus 24.02.12
  • Tekken 3D Prime Edition 16.02.12
  • Theatrhythm Final Fantasy 16.02.12
  • Harvest Moon: Hajimari no Daichi 23.02.12
  • Metal Gear Solid 3D 08.03.12
  • Hatsune Miku and Future Stars Project Mirai 08.03.12
Kingdom Hearts 3D along with Bravely Default Flying Fairy were trailered without specific release dates. Kiki Trick demonstrated by Iwata and Yoshio Skamoto themselves (pictures above). The game comes from the impressive Wario team.

Below is the most recent Nintendo Direct Broadcast via Nintendo’s own Ustream Channel. We can expect a similar broadcast from NOA shortly, most likely given by Reggie Fils Aime (President and chief operating officer of Nintendo of America). With Nintendo turning around the 3DS’s fortunes and with a decent release list for Q1 2012, is this enough to keep Nintendo on top?

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Nice work Stuart! I missed this earlier. It’s good to see the 3rd party developers are getting on board. I’m really looking forward to Tekken and Resi Evil.
