Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance coming to Europe on 20th July

Good news for Kingdom Hearts and Disney fans in general; ahead of tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo of Europe have today announced that it will be responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand territories. Square Enix Europe will remain as publisher.

This is good news and means that hopefully the game will get the recognition that it looks like it will deserve. I’ve never played any previous games in the series myself as I can’t say that I’ve had much exposure to any of the previous instalments, but from what I’ve seen of this one so far I must say I am quite looking forward to playing it. Great to see that with Nintendo’s help it might prove popular to a wider audience.

Confirmed for release on 20th July across Europe, the brand new Kingdom Hearts adventure was shown in some detail recently as part of E3 2012 has been created specifically for Nintendo 3DS. As we have seen, the game features new Disney worlds and never-before seen gameplay elements in the Kingdom Hearts series that are sure to excite both fans and newcomers including the series debut of the Disney worlds of  The Hunchback of Notre Dame and TRON: Legacy.

What do you guys think, have you played previous games in the series and are you looking forward to this one?
