Cancelled Final Fantasy II Game Up For Auction On Ebay
An extremely rare English translation of Final Fantasy 2 for NES has been put on eBay. When we say rare, we mean, really rare. Final Fantasy 2, the original NES sequel, didn’t get a worldwide release, meaning it was only playable in Japanese. Developer Square Soft USA was once working on an English translation, but it discarded the project in favour of localising Final Fantasy 4 for the SNES.
Even though the cartridge is labelled as ‘sample’, the owner insists that the entire game is playable in English from start to finish. Check out the eBay listing for yourself. At the time of writing, there have been 30 offers, most of which have been declined.
