Activision: Call Of Duty Elite Won’t Be Available At Launch For Wii U
Only a couple of days ago Activision were speaking of their concerns about the Wii U’s online systems, saying they were not yet sure if the Call of Duty Elite pack would be included with the Wii U version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 at launch. Today they have confirmed that the Wii U version of the game will definitely not include Call of Duty Elite as they continue to work out the details with Nintendo.
It seems Activision are still unsure whether or not the Wii U will be able to download DLC, such as map packs, and it doesn’t appear they’ll be enlightened anytime soon.
An Activision representative has told Kotaku:
“We are currently evaluating options for Call of Duty Elite to support Nintendo’s Wii U game system, however Call of Duty Elite for Call of Duty: Black Ops II will not support this platform when the game launches on November 13th,”
It’s likely that the kinks will be sorted out and the DLC will eventually come to the Wii U, but does this news make you have second thoughts about buying it on launch? Let us know!
