Nintendo Download (Europe): Heavy Fire, A Mighty Bomb And A Miracle Mask

After last week’s over-abundance of download software brought to the table by Nintendo, this week is slightly more subdued with only three games being offered for download.

The biggest title this week is arguably Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask which is being made available to download via the 3DS eShop to coincide with the retail release of the game. It’s not cheap though, a pretty perplexing £39.99/€44.99 in fact.

There’s also some 3DS Download Software in the form of Teyon’s Heavy Fire: Special Operations 3D, an arcade-style shooter that plonks you in the Middle East and orders you to solve all their problems – if only it were that easy… It’ll set you back £4.49/€4.99 if you want to get shooting some terrorist baddies.

Lastly on the new game’s front there’s Mighty Bomb Jack on the 3DS Virtual Console, an arcade platform-style game that sees you jumping around collecting bombs in a specific order to achieve a score so magnificent it will blow the minds of all your friends! It sold ridiculously well when first released but to say it hasn’t aged well is a bit of an understatement. It’s £4.49/€4.99 if you fancy diffusing it.

There’s also some DLC this week, no not for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, for New Art Academy! Yes, now you can learn even more ways to create art with two new add-ons: Pointilism & Textures and Mixing Paints. They’ll cost you £1.79/€1.99 each if you fancy getting your art on!

If you’re a fan of golf sims then you may be interested to hear that there’s a special offer on this week in the eShop with Gameloft’s Let’s Golf! 3D being made available for the special price of  £1.79/ €1.99 for one week only! It was £5.40/€6 so that’s a pretty big saving if you’d like a bit of putting action this week.

There’s also some Video Download content to be had with a selection of Breakthru Films‘ videos being made available including Fat Hamster, Little Postman, Magical Dance, Papa’s Boy, Scarecrow, Spirits of the Piano, and Transformation. They cost £0.89/€0.99 per video and they look pretty decent to be fair.

All of these games, videos and add-ons will be available to download from Thursday 25th October with the exception of Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask which will be out on Friday. Maybe if it did come out on Thursday it’d justify the price tag!

Not a massive week of downloads then, but do any of them have your attention?
