Heroes Of Ruin Sequel Unlikely After Poor Sales
Heroes of Ruin, the 3DS action RPG which was released over summer, will not likely be getting a sequel anytime soon as n-Space co-founder Dan O’Leary admits sales were unsatisfactory.
In an interview with SuperPhillip O’Leary said:
“We’re not satisfied with the sales. The 3DS attach rate is… challenging at best and it seems that, for all its promise, Heroes of Ruin did not appeal to enough of the installed base. I am super pleased with what we made and would love to return to the genre one day, but I fear that Heroes did not have enough commercial impact to justify a sequel.”
O’Leary also confirmed the team at n-Space have had their Wii U developers kit for a while now but no games have yet been confirmed. However, O’Leary has voiced his concerns over the Wii U saying Nintendo’s launch will be “challenging.”
“I’m concerned that Wii U tries to appeal to both the mainstream and the hardcore markets simultaneously.”
It looks as though any plans of a Heroes of Ruin sequel are buried for now then. What are your thoughts on this? Did you play the game? If so, how did you find it? We’d love to hear your views!
