Wii U Premium Pack Digital Promotion Information Revealed By Nintendo

When Nintendo first unveiled the two available Wii U packs, Basic and Premium, they also mentioned a digital promotion that would benefit those who bought the Premium  pack (Deluxe set in North America). We’ve not had much information on how it will actually work but Nintendo have revealed a little more information via their website.

Premium Wii U owners who buy a game from the Nintendo eShop will receive 10% of their value back in the form of points. So for example if you bought a game from the Nintendo eShop in the United States for $59.99 you will receive 599 points. 500 points are worth $5 in the US.

The UK website also states that customers will also get “around 10% of the original Nintendo eShop price” and that points can begin to be used once you have 500 points to your name.

Also of note is the fact Nintendo plan to run this scheme at least until the end of 2014.

Which pack will you be buying? Basic or Premium?

  1. I’m on to the premium. Not for the download perks but for the back console, Nintendoland and the sensor with the stand gear. I was tempted for ZombiU and the Pro controller, but’ll leave that for later.
