Nintendo Confirm New Super Mario Bros. U Will Not Run In Full 1080p HD
Last month Nintendo created a bit of confusion when they wrote on the official New Super Mario Bros. U website that the game would run “in full 1080p HD” but then later changed the wording to “in high definition.”
This lead many to believe that the game would not run in full 1080p HD after all and today Nintendo have confirmed, via the official site, that this is indeed the case:
“The previously stated information about video output for this game was inaccurate. The Wii U console supports video output of up to 1080p.”
“While all Wii U software titles display high definition graphics, resolution for specific titles may vary.”
So New Super Mario Bros. U won’t run in full 1080p HD but it will still be High Definition and looks set to be the crispest looking Mario title to date! The game will be available on the same day the Wii U launches on the 18th and 30th of November in North America and Europe respectively.
Are you disappointed the game won’t be running in full 1080p or does it not matter to you? Let us know your thoughts!
