Try Before You Buy: Nintendo Sends Out 5000 Wii U Consoles To Selected Retailers In The US

The Wii U will be available in just a few short weeks in the United States and Nintendo have stepped up their efforts in getting people to make the Wii U their gift of choice this holiday season.

Yes, 5000 Wii U consoles have been set free from Nintendo HQ and have flown into several participating retailers including Target, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart and Toys ‘R’ Us. Depending on the store and kiosk available people may get some hands-on playtime with Nintendo’s new console and see what games like Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros. U, SiNG PARTY, ZombiU and Rayman Legends are all about. Some stores won’t allow you to play any of the games however, which is a shame, but you will still get to see some video content and see the console in the flesh.

To find the kiosk hoarding retailer nearest to you head on over to Nintendo’s website here.

The Wii U launches on 18th November in North America; will you be hoping to get some hands-on play time with it before you hand over your money or have you already pre-ordered one? Let us know!
