Super Smash Bros Ultimate Smashes Evo Records, Watch the 2019 Grand Final Here


This Sunday, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was part of the biggest fighting game eSports tournament EVO. Known for bringing professional fighting game players from all around the globe, the EVO tournament series is a big deal in the fighting game community.

With the highest number of entrants in the Super Smash Bros. history at nearly 3500, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was the main focus of the tournament getting the coveted Sunday finals spot. It also had the highest number of entrants for any fighting game in EVO history. The previous record-holder was Super Smash Bros. for Wii U who set the record back in 2016.

On top of all this, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate also had the highest viewership for a game at EVO peaking at an incredible 279,000 viewers.
