A Hat in Time – Physical Version Revealed by Amazon
Well, this is interesting! It seems as if popular Kickstarter funded platformer A Hat in Time has an official release date revealed by Amazon. Spotted by Wario64 on Twitter, the game appears to be coming to Switch on the 18th of October. It even has a full Switch box art and a price of $39.99. No official announcement has come from Gears for Breakfast the games dev and so all of this is so odd, another example of Amazon jumping the gun a little early perhaps?
I backed this game all the way back in 2013 and although it took a long while for it to come out, it was well worth the wait. The game is incredible and a love letter to platformers and collect-a-thons of the 90’s. It takes enough from those that the inspiration rings through while not being restricted by the things those games did wrong. Super excited to hear that Nintendo fans will get the chance to experience this in its rightful place on Nintendo Switch.
